Integrating Online GED and HS Subject Preparation for Adult Learners

Session 3: 1:40 PM-2:50 PM, Room 204

Abstract

Online preparation can be a great alternative for adult learners who need flexibility, customization and self-direction in their educational pathway. Integrating a vetted, user friendly and rigorous online program to allow for asynchronous learning has proven to be very effective in high school equivalency completions at Tam Adult School while offering benefits not found in a classroom-only option. With the responsibilities and time constraints adults have in their lives, online learning can support goal completion, college readiness, and moving students into college and career pathways at an accelerated pace. In this session, you will learn about Tam Adult School’s journey in implementing online learning programs over the past three years.
