Empowering through Video Connections: A Video Is Worth More Than A Thousand Words
Session 5: 8:30–10:00 AM, Zoom Room 1
Abstract
Many people shy away from recording themselves. Selfies and self videos are all over the internet. How can we utilize this to enhance our future and our students’ futures? Attendees of this session will be able to use and teach self recorded videos in a variety of settings to support achievement and community integration. There will be a demonstration of how to effectively make a self video and then encourage attendees to make one or more self videos during the session. Participates will participate and give feedback to others while creating their own videos. Participants will be challenged to use creative thinking to explore: what applications are being used for recordings, who benefits, why videos are effective tools and how to make the video effective. Attendees will be able to use self recorded videos in various settings to support achievement and community integration world wide. This session will allow the participant and their targeted audience to build solid connections within our virtual world.
