Create an interactive Google Slideshow and get your students googly for Google Slides

Session 1: 2:45–4:15 PM, Zoom Room 6

Abstract

To begin this session, participants will work through a model interactive Google Slideshow about netiquette for online class discussions. They will then use layers and links to create an interactive slideshow similar to the one they worked through at the beginning of the session. They will create various types of interactive slides including “hotspot” slides. Participants will learn multiple ways to share their slideshows via link or embed code. Participants will also learn how to link their slideshow to a quiz to receive formative feedback on student comprehension of the subject matter presented in their interactive slideshow. They will also explore various free slide template sites such as Slidesarnival.com and SlidesGo.com to jazz up their slideshows. At the end of the session, participants will have 2 interactive slideshows to share with their students and resources to create more.
