Great group work with Zoom Breakouts, Google Docs & Canvas

Abstract

Let’s face it, getting up to speed on how to manage online group work has been and continues to be problematic for many instructors. One of the primary challenges is integrating relevant apps in appropriate, helpful ways. During this demonstration, attendees will learn how to use Zoom breakout rooms, Google docs, and a Canvas assignment to more easily facilitate and execute small group work in remote/online synchronous classes. The presenter will model all steps in the process and provide links to helpful resources including Canvas Commons modifiable assignment template. Ample time for questions and sharing of successful practices will be included.
