Tracking Distance Learning Hours Using TOPSpro Enterprise (TE)

Abstract

Distance learning leaped to the forefront in 2020 as COVID-19 safety issues closed most campuses in California. Adult Ed programs rapidly adapted to distance education requiring learners to do work while they are not in the classroom more than ever before. In prior years this instructional time was not captured and agencies were not able to show the value and effectiveness of their distance and blended (or hybrid) instructional programs. This session will guide you through how to correctly set up a Class Instance and correctly reflect instructional hours in the classroom as well as distance learning hours. Then we’ll introduce you to the newest TE reporting tools showing attendance for both distance and traditional instructional hours. These reports help measure and analyze statistics that quantify the good work that agencies are doing.
