Teach your Class with GIFs

Session 8: 10:15-11:45 AM (Friday March 04, 2022)

Research shows that by purposefully selecting and using visual elements in instruction, teachers can engage students while also teaching visual literacy (Daniels, 2018).There are numerous benefits of using visuals: to spark students’ interest, engage and motivate student in a course content, hold students’ concentration, increase participation, and help students retain what they have learned (Patesan, M., Balagiu, A., Alibec, C., 2018; Halwani. 2017). Participants will learn ways to incorporate GIF's in their online and in-person grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading, listening and speaking lessons. Participants will also personalize and share GIFs as well as make themselves into a GIF. Free Digital Material: Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Images, GIPHY, Unscreen: Remove Video Background
