This panel presentation focuses on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in adult education. Our speakers will cover various aspects of AI, including its historical development, uses in instruction, practical applications, and ethical considerations. Attendees will learn about methods and tools that leverage AI to enhance instruction, personalize learning experiences, improve writing, and make teacher or administrator tasks more efficient. Strategies for responsible and inclusive use of AI in adult education will be discussed. Whether you are an educator, an administrator, or other education practitioner, join us for this presentation about the potential benefits, possible negatives, ethical considerations, and practical applications of AI in shaping adult education now and in the future.

Barry has been using technology in instruction since he started teaching more than 30 years ago. He is now an Instructional Technology Teacher Advisor. This is an out-of-the-classroom position promoting the integration of technology into instruction. ITTAs work with teachers and students to integrate technology in all program areas. Barry is also an OTAN Subject Matter Expert. He has presented at many local, regional and international conferences on using technology in instruction.

Susan is one of OTAN's Subject Matter Experts and has worked for OTAN for more than ten years. She writes Web-Based News articles, and Teaching with Technology activities, and regularly presents at three or four conferences each year. She is currently a coach for OTAN's Digital Leadership Academy (DLAC).

Debbie Jensen worked as an instructor for over 30 years in Adults with Disabilities and ABE and assisted with technology integration at her school. She currently works for OTAN (Outreach and Technical Assistance Network) creating online resources, courses, articles, presentations, and workshops. She has presented on Accessibility, CK-12, Google and Google Classroom, the Triple E Framework, and Teaching with Technology at multiple conferences including TDLS, COABE, CASAS SI, CCAE, CUE and CAEP.
