ChatGPT and AI in the ESL Classroom

Description

In this session, participants will learn about using AI in ethical ways in the Adult Education classroom. Participants will be able to follow along and produce examples using tools like ChatGPT to create and enhance documents like cover letters, work emails, and essays for HSE exams.

OTAN / Soledad Adult School

Francisco X. Pinedo Jr has been in Adult Education for 19 years and an OTAN SME for 12 years. Francisco has taught ESL, Citizenship, Computer Literacy, High School Diploma and Early Childhood Education Pathway class. Currently he directs Soledad Adult School and has presented at CCAE, CATESOL, TDLS, CAEP Summit, CASAS Summer Institute, and does trainings for his regional consortium.
