Maximize Technology for Effective Instruction: Using the Triple E Framework
Session 7: 1:00pm-2:00pm (Saturday March 02, 2024)
Description
In this session, Aaron Mendelson and Victoria Bian from Culver City Adult School will provide an overview of the Triple E Framework, why they have chosen this model, and how they are applying the philosophy in their classrooms. The Triple E Framework was designed to help educators integrate technology into their lesson planning and to measure the effectiveness of the technology on students’ learning. The three key elements of the Triple E Framework are Engagement, Enhancement, and Extension. The presenters will discuss how the various technologies they are using motivate and engage their students in the learning process. They will highlight how these technologies promote critical thinking and enhance student learning. Finally, they will address how these technologies create opportunities for learning to extend beyond the classroom. Participants will leave with a new understanding of how to make the most of technology for effective instruction and to maximize student learning.
