Description

This session will guide teachers and educators through the various components of the PETW series and will highlight the features and benefits of the PETW series for teachers and students. Course content has been updated and adapted to the needs of English language learners (ELLs) integrating modern technology to enhance the learning experience. This session will cover the course structure, content, and the types of learning activities, including H5P interactive exercises, which focus on the four key language competencies: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Each of these competencies plays a vital role in language acquisition, and this well-rounded course integrates activities and exercises designed to improve proficiency in all areas.

Francisca Wentworth

OTAN

Francisca has been an ESL teacher since 1987 and was the Instructional Technology Coordinator at Jefferson Adult School for ten years before she became the Director. She was an early participant in OTAN PD projects, including ITAP and TIMAC. She was a coach in TIMAC/OTAC and then DLAC. She designed and has presented on online ESL courses (Advanced ESL and The Write Stuff) and edited and revised PETW 1-3. Francisca holds two master’s degrees, in German and Educational Administration.
