California Adult Ed Technology and Digital Learning – A Look at the Data
Session 6: 10:30am-12:00pm (Saturday March 08, 2025)
Description
We share preliminary findings from OTAN’s annual Technology and Digital Learning for California Adult Education report that provide a broad overview of digital learning in WIOA-funded adult schools and noncredit community college programs in California. The findings are based on the 2023-2024 program year results from the Student Technology Intake Survey, the Teacher Technology Skills Self-Assessment, the NRS Federal Reporting Tables 4, 4C and 5A, the Program Implementation Survey, and the third follow-up survey from OTAN earlier this year. Session participants are invited to reflect on multi-year results and engage in a discussion about online blended learning as well as the impact of technology adoption in the delivery of program offerings. We would also like to share with participants where we think we are heading and hear from participants about the challenges and opportunities of online blended learning in adult education at the agency, local, regional, and state levels.
