Session 3: 2:15pm-3:45pm (Friday March 07, 2025)

Description

Many adult learners without digital skills feel overwhelmed and left behind when using technology. This workshop will demonstrate essential skills to teach, like using keyboards, a mouse, touchpad, and touchscreen. Attendees will explore beginner-friendly tools like Padlet, Kahoot, and MouseProgram.com, and learn to create a simple, accessible Canvas course. As learners advance, more complex topics like two-factor authentication, QR codes, and online forms will be covered. The session highlights how basic tools function across devices and the value of individualized instruction for building digital literacy.
