The Human Side of Digital Equity: Experiences, Challenges, and Strategies
Session 3: 2:15pm-3:45pm (Friday March 07, 2025)
Description
While conversations about digital equity often center on infrastructure, access, and technology, the human experiences at the heart of the digital divide deserve equal attention. Through a combination of real-world case studies, data insights, and lived experiences, we will examine how digital exclusion impacts education, employment, and so much more. This session explores the experiences, systemic challenges, and adult education-driven technological strategies shaping the journey toward digital equity. This session will also highlight innovative solutions and strategies from community organizations, policymakers, and educators working to close the gap. Attendees will leave with actionable insights and tools to advocate for policies and programs that prioritize people-first approaches to digital inclusion. Join us to reimagine digital equity as a human challenge.
