Low Tech For Beginners

Session 5: 9:15am-10:15am (Saturday March 08, 2025)

 

Description

Participants will learn how to use Google Docs to create citations for essays or reports with students in mind. The presentation includes a walk through of citing by hand and citing with technology. Also included is a discussion of uses in different subject areas and why this method is great for beginning students in technology. Participants will be able to access the lesson plan through "Teaching With Technology" in OTAN's website where many other lessons can be found.

Maricel Manglicmot

OTAN

Maricel Manglicmot has been a teacher at East Side Adult Education for ten years teaching English in the high school diploma program. With a Master's degree in Instructional Science and Technology, she supports the teachers with their technology needs. A recent addition to OTAN, Maricel has presented for TDLS in 2023 and for the South Bay Consortium in 2021. Maricel is enthusiastic about integrating technology into ASE classrooms.
