Exploring AI Bias & Stereotyping

Session 2: 1:00pm-2:00pm (Friday March 07, 2025)

Description

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly shaping our world, from education to the workplace. However, AI tools can unintentionally reinforce societal biases and stereotypes, which often remain unnoticed. Participants will engage in activities which will explore examples and discuss how AI can unintentionally discriminate or perpetuate inequalities. The session emphasizes the importance of developing discernment when working with AI. We will create a space where all participants are heard and valued, we will foster meaningful dialogue on how to navigate AI bias and share strategies for empowering learners and colleagues to think critically about how and when to use AI.
