Student Voice and Problem-Solving Utilizing Sustainable Development Goals

Session 2: 1:00pm-2:00pm (Friday March 07, 2025)

Description

In this interactive session, participants will engage in a hands-on design thinking process using the Solve in Time! framework to explore real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Adult learners often face barriers such as language proficiency, digital literacy gaps, and limited access to resources. This session provides a structured yet flexible approach to critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving, empowering learners to develop practical solutions for their communities. By centering student voice, this process builds confidence, creativity, and advocacy skills. For example, ESL learners might address healthcare access by creating community resource guides, reinforcing language development, problem-solving, and civic engagement while tackling real-world concerns.
