Using ChatGPT and other forms of Artificial Intelligence can help enhance the learners' experience in your classroom. Participants will learn how to incorporate AI tools for their AE students in the classroom. Examples of activities include writing simple sentences to letters of intent.

Create Video Lessons and Embedded Assignments with ScreenPal

ScreenPal (previously Screencast-O-Matic) is a simple yet powerful tool that has multiple uses including screen recorder, video editor, creating storyboards and scripts, capturing and annotating screenshots, and creating video quizzes. This tool would be beneficial to adult educators as they design lessons. ScreenPal’s embedded quizzes and polls allow curriculum and lesson designers to create video lessons with frequent knowledge checks, or short bytes of video lessons followed by a quiz.

This workshop is all about mythbusters for struggling adults and those with specific learning disabilities (e.g. dyslexia, attention deficit, mild traumatic brain injury, etc.). Attend this knowledge-packed and interactive workshop for on the spot digital tips that require no price tag. Please bring a mobile device. The identified adult learners are those who have known or unknown mild disabilities with a higher level of independence to practice the strategies.

We will provide backward design practices and planning tools so teachers can execute high-quality hybrid adult education courses in ESL and CTE.

An AI based tutor is available for students 24/7. Teachers are given digital assistance to know student activity and needs. More impressively, FlexBooks are customizable, you can adapt what is there, add to it, or even create your own. CK-12 recently partnered with adult education for ABE, HS/ASE, ESL and CTE.

CA Adult Ed Teachers' Views on Using Tech for Differentiated Instruction

Presenter will offer examples of the successful use of differentiated instruction using tech with underserved adult learners in CA and their opinions. Experienced* CA non-administration adult ed instructors on-site at the conference will be invited to participate in a facilitated discussion to share their perceptions of the benefits and challenges of using tech for differentiated instruction. *TBD via brief vetting, a participation lanyard will be awarded at presentors' discretion.
