Transforming and Aligning EL Distance Learning

This presentation highlights our work to transform and align our EL Distance Learning programs to better serve students unable to attend class in person or those waiting for an open spot in our extremely impacted EL program. In addition to Distance Learning as an independent study model, we will explore piloted hybrid options that double capacity in in-person classes. Cyber High, Changing Lives One Future at a Time

Cyber High is one of the originators of asynchronous online coursework, circa 1998; although our roots date to 1978 via the Pass Program put forth in the service of California’s Migrant student population (whom we still serve in large percentage today). It is owned and operated by one of the largest county offices of education in California, the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools. It offers 79 online courses, 7 in Spanish, 47 courses are appropriate for A-G, and one CTE course.
