AI-assisted Story Creation for Students

Description

Bring the power of AI-Assisted Story Creation to students for pleasure reading, assignments, family literacy, and exciting personal projects! Learn how to use AI and other Apps to create both the text and the images for imaginative storytelling and book creation! Techniques covered will include “alternative sentence story creation,” creating effective prompts for text and image creation, and printing and publishing options. Participants will leave the session with the first page or two (or more) of a “ready-to-publish” story or book!

Barry Bakin

OTAN & Division of Adult & Career Education, LAUSD

Barry Bakin has been an educator with the Division of Adult and Career Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District since 1987. He was an ESL teacher for most of that time. Now, he is also an Instructional Technology Teacher Advisor working with teachers learning technology integration skills to benefit their instruction and by extension that of their students. Barry is also a Subject Matter Expert for OTAN. Barry has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology.
