Joining OTAN Digital Leadership Academy & Developing Community Partnerships

Session 2: 1:00pm-2:00pm (Friday March 06, 2026)

 

Description

DLAC participation: school/participant commitments, pre-selected dates, TDLS participation, no school too small to participate, Proteus' technology plan and other school examples, type of staff that participate, extent of tech support, coach support and expertise, other training in communication, leadership, and management skills, coping with stress and working with others, travel, build relationships with other school staff, learn from other school projects, have fun while learning, how to apply for DLAC. Community partnerships: Managing multiple funding streams, foundations, workforce investment boards, city, county, other non-profits housing, immigration services, food pantries, shelters, utility companies, get to know your local politicians, support staff running for office, joining other organizations or participating on other boards or special projects. Give examples of collaborations. Activities: questionnaire, 3-4 peer group discussion, entire group discussion.
