LMS to deliver individualized instruction in a diverse ESL classroom

Session 5: 9:15am-10:15am (Saturday March 07, 2026)

Description

We will demonstrate how an LMS can be a game-changer in ESL settings, where each student has unique needs. We’ll show how to identify and address the needs of learners from various vocational backgrounds such as healthcare workers, hospitality staff, and construction professionals. We’ll walk participants through a concrete example: three selected students, each with distinct goals: mastering medical terminology, improving hospitality communication, or expanding vocabulary. We’ll show how Ellii can be used to create personalized learning paths, track progress, and deliver tailored content that meets each student’s individual needs. Throughout the session, we’ll provide hands-on demonstrations and allow participants to explore how they can implement similar approaches in their own classrooms. Attendees will have a clear understanding of how to use an LMS to personalize learning for ESL students, making individualized instruction achievable even in a diverse classroom.
