Canvas Mastery Paths: Differentiating Is Grating! (Uh, I Mean Great!)

Session 6: 10:30am-12:00pm (Saturday March 07, 2026)

Description

Do your adult learners come to class with a wide range of skills, confidence levels, and learning speeds? Canvas Mastery Paths offer a powerful way to differentiate instruction without doubling your workload. In this interactive 90-minute session, participants will learn how to use Mastery Paths in the Canvas LMS to automatically guide students to targeted support, practice, or enrichment based on their performance. Through a step-by-step demonstration, participants will see how to set up a mastery path, connect it to an assessment, and design learning activities that respond to student needs—while keeping everyone aligned to the same outcomes. Participants will then begin planning their own mastery path assignment to take back to their class. A basic understanding of Canvas is helpful but not required.
