Human First: Teaching SEL to Adult Learners in the Age of AI

Session 2: 1:00pm-2:00pm (Friday March 06, 2026)

Description

Adult learners face unique challenges in the age of AI and technology, including digital overload, remote collaboration, and rapidly changing workplace expectations. In this interactive session, participants will explore how social-emotional learning (SEL) can be intentionally woven into adult education to foster resilience, empathy, self-regulation, and effective communication. Through practical examples, discussion, and hands-on strategies, attendees will learn how to integrate SEL into online, blended, and hybrid learning environments. Participants will leave with actionable ideas for helping adult learners navigate the challenges and opportunities of technology while strengthening their human skills—essential for personal growth, career readiness, and lifelong learning.
