The Power of Play and Connection in Adult Learning

Session 1: 10:30am-12:00pm (Friday March 06, 2026)

Description

In this session, explore how play, connection, and joy can be intentionally and appropriately integrated into adult learning environments to increase engagement, trust, collaboration, and retention. Learn the research-backed reasons why playful, relational learning experiences improve adult motivation, memory, and willingness to take intellectual risks. This is not about being silly or diminishing the seriousness of adult learners’ goals. It’s about creating emotionally resonant learning experiences that honor adults’ intelligence while reducing stress, increasing curiosity, and strengthening connection. You won’t just learn the theory—you’ll experience it firsthand through interactive activities designed specifically for adult learners and professional learning contexts. Warning: This session is active, uplifting, and energizing—and it may change how you think about what’s possible in adult learning spaces.
