Make Google App Projects to Help Online ESL Students Get Acquainted

Retention and Teaching Strategies for Low Literacy Students in the Online World

I began using WhatsApp as a way to communicate with students in my online class. I found that students were more likely to do homework and come to class if I sent them information via Whatsapp rather than through email or Remind. WhatsApp serves as an easy access point for students.

Using Microsoft Power Automate (MPA) in Adult Schools

Microsoft released a software called Power Automate which allows Adult Ed schools to automate processes. This presentation will start with a broad overview of PA, then move into specifics of how the program might be used at AE schools, and finish with examples of how the program has been successful.

Help with the CA Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP)
Panel or Facilitated Discussion (1 hour)

Join our panel presentation to enhance your knowledge of the CIP and learn tips on how to complete the plan. How to build a goal and why goal setting is important, etc. Angela Steele will give us a walk-through of the CIP portal. The panel will include staff from CDE, CALPRO, CASAS, and OTAN.
