Microsoft Edge Browser and its Features

What is Microsoft Edge? It is Windows’ new default web browser. The new Microsoft Edge internet browser is the replacement of the old Microsoft Internet Explorer. Join this workshop to learn how to use the newly improved key features and tools which are part of Microsoft Edge. This workshop will cover the basics of navigating with the Edge browser where participants will also be able to explore and learn new features like Collections, Annotation, Immersive Reader, and Read Aloud to name a few.

A Quick Look at Formative Assessment

We use formative assessment to help identify student misconceptions, struggles, and learning gaps and assess how to close those gaps as we work in class with students and the material. We will look at some formative assessment tools that you can use at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the class to help you understand where your students are and determine what to focus on to help students as they work with the lesson material.

Using EL Civics Support YouTube Channels

CASAS has developed a new service to the field to deliver pertinent information about EL Civics and Citizenship Preparation via YouTube support channels. These two EL Civics Support Channels provide videos related to Civic Participation, IET/IELCE and Citizenship. The presentation will teach participants to access the information on these channels and demonstrate how this service can assist in implementation of these programs.
